A new look!

After a really long break, Gravity bits is back!
I’m not that good at these kinds of posts, but I’ll try my best to inform everyone what I’ve been up to and why the previous site was not updated as often as I would like.
First of all, I got a full-time job! As a result, the available time that I had to put on Gravity bits was drastically shortened. While I got acquainted with my new responsibilities as a University Professor, there was no room to put out content with the quality that I first set out to do. Also, the global pandemic did not help at all.
Now, after a much-needed break and a course or two on time management, I want to start fresh with Gravity bits, but now backed up with lessons learned from my previous attempt.
First of all, I will continue to post on social media, on Instagram and Facebook (which are now finally synced) and Twitter, but much of the written content will be here, on the website. Call me old-fashioned, but I cannot write a blog post on Instagram and retain readability. Still, additional content will be, of course, posted there, not always linked to the content on the site.
The content itself will mostly consist of blog posts, my thought on various RPG-related topics, news, reviews and the like. I will add original content, like maps, adventure hooks, NPCs, Monsters and the like in due time. So far, I have at least a dozen of ideas I would like to share. Previously, I have focused on hand drawn mapmaking, which will continue. I plan to use my subscriptions for mapmaking tools for real this time, and to share my creations.
Secondly, I want to try out Twitch, to play some old (and new) RPGs that I missed out. Most of them will be tabletop-related, but maybe not all. For now, this will be me just playing games, but maybe a vlog or two will come up (when I get a better camera, 720p will not do).
The YouTube videos will continue, albeit in a different form. I will keep my lore videos as they were before, but I plan to add general tips & tricks for various RPGs soon. And if my D&D group is up for it, I may stream a session or two as well.
As Gravity bits is still a one-man band, keeping up with the schedule will be difficult, but I want to commit to this, and in time expand to maybe something more. So much ideas, so little time. In the meantime, you can join the community in the Discord server!
